2009 Audie Nominee
The Overlords appeared suddenly over every city - intellectually, technologically, and militarily superior to humankind. Benevolent, they made few demands: unify earth, eliminate poverty, and end war. With little rebellion, humankind agreed, and a golden age began.
But at what cost? With the advent of peace, man ceases to strive for creative greatness, and a malaise settles over the human race. To those who resist, it becomes evident that the Overlords have an agenda of their own.
As civilization approaches the crossroads, will the Overlords spell the end for humankind...or the beginning?
"In Eric Summerer's capable hands, the plot of Childhood's End is smoothly presented and fully credible. ...Summerer excels at delivering the aliens' quiet and intensely engaging dialogue with people. His nuanced performance creates a growing feeling of uneasiness in the listener as the Overlords' insatiable curiosity and watchfulness begin to suggest something less than benign at work." Electronic Games

It's the 23rd century: The earth's natural resources are virtually exhausted and the ruling multinational conglomerates are searching for new raw material deposits in space in order to avert the impending catastrophe. One planet turns out to be a real El Dorado in this respect. But as the human conquerors in their armed mecha encounter the extraterrestrial inhabitants a dreadful war breaks out. The player researches into new technologies and continues to rearm his mecha in Mytran Wars. Battles are thereby fought in wonderful 3D landscapes - against the merciless AI or other human opponents in various multiplayer modes. Eric provides several character voices within the game.
B-17: Fortress in the Sky places the player in the heart of the air war over Germany and the occupied territories in the autumn of 1944. Defend the "Lucky 25" through 25 heart-pounding missions over France, the Netherlands, and deep into the heart of Germany. Man each gunner position, avoid deadly flak encounters, and make sure to drop those bombs right in the o'le "pickle barrel". Once you've done your job for Uncle Sam, you're flying back home to the waiting ticker-tape parade! Eric provides one of the pilot voices for the game.
King Of Fighters 06 is an incredible mix of speed & beauty with an all-new storyline. A new war is on between two rival gangs, and what's left of Southtown is the prize. Prove yourself worthy of controlling the city by taking out the city's baddest villains. The game features both English and Japanese voice tracks. Eric provides the English voice of Iori Yagami.

Voiceover Books

Harlan Hogan's book, VO: Tales and Techniques of a Voice Over Actor, is one of the best that I've read on the subject. You can purchase and read countless books about the nuts and bolts of producing a good voiceover performance, and they all seem to provide similar information. This one, however, has a unique perspective. Hogan provides some great anecdotes about mistakes he's made, as well as how he's managed to succeed. Each section is lead by a lovely illustration from the Harlan Hogan Production Calendar, and the whole thing is an entertaining read. Other books may have useful information, but none gives you the feeling that you've been let into the secret inner circle as much as Harlan Hogan. -Eric
